TYPE A
This product was designed to build boost and push acceleration from the low RPM range all the way to the top end; with stock or aftermarket turbocharger setup. Since these camshafts were designed to utilize the AVCS feature, a stable idle level can be achieved. With the stock turbo setup, the boost pressure is not sufficed at all, even at the higher RPM levels. From low to high revolutions, a tastefully balanced performance is realized.
TYPE B
Designed to extend the performance to the top end of the RPM range, the low end was reserved for a mild level. With the 2.2 liter + stock turbo setup, the standard camshafts cannot keep up with the overwhelming amount of boost pressure rate; thus the top end RPM range has to be sacrificed. Therefore these camshafts are best suited for a 2.2 liter standard turbo setup.

Already in the beginning of development Breyton Design uses newsworthy technologies, e.g. FEM calculation for structural analysis of used material and for assessment of strenghts to create new products. For the firm owner of Breyton Design GmbH, Edmund Breyton, autotechnic and autodesign are merely his dearest hobbies during his IT study. But verysoon it is clear that he cannot evade the passion for automobile tuning and he founds the engeneering office EBS in Stockach in 1982, two years after he had finished his IT study. Initially, the field of activity of this young company is development orders and design studies for several automobile purifyers and automobile manufacturers, especially AMG and BMW.
Due to the enormous increase of the branch Edmund Breyton had the possibility to establish a sales program on the market and in 1985 he brought out his first own design line for aerodynamic parts.
In the beginning of 1987, the development and production of alloy wheel rims began. According to the strong demand on motor tuning and increase on performance it was possible to develop and offer performance optimized tuning kits.
Due to this fast development in several fields at the same time more space was required. The renamed company, breyton design GmbH, moved to a new company owned area with 6000 qm in Stockach in 1986. Since 1992 aerodynamic parts, alloy wheel rims and motor tuning were offered for all current BMW models. 57 % of a swiss motor smithy were taken over in 2000. Today it is called Breyton Swiss.
he result of this cooperation was a master role within the range of motor tunings and the compressor technology, culminated with the fastest 3 BMW of the world with 528 PS, created by breyton. Complete chassis, stabilizers and end silencers round the package off, not only for the 3 range. The enormous increase of demand for qualitative high-class and exclusive alloy wheel rims resulted in an intense orientation on the development of rims.
The Breyton Design GmbH as a tuning company today has the biggest assortments on designs and dimensions of all BMW tuners. The key to success is based on the high quality requirements which Breyton has to both itself and to its suppliers.
Like in other successful tuning companies the international success does not stay away. Incessantly, new trading areas are added to the existing important markets in the USA and Japan. More than 20 importers are an unimpeachable evidence for that.
